Bible 101
Intrigued by the Bible and want to see what it's all about? Bible 101 teaches the stories you slept through in Sunday school. This class is for everyone, whether you're new to the faith or have been going to church since you were a kid. We will be meeting at 7:30 PM in room 124 in the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center. Fruit Salad
"For no good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit, for each tree is known by its own fruit. For figs are not gathered from thornbushes, nor are grapes picked from a bramble bush. The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks." (Luke 6:43-45, ESV)
Jesus says that false witnesses will be known by their fruit, so, conversely, believers must also be able to show their fruit to the world. This is not to say that we should not share the Bible, or use its principles, but God very clearly tells us what our spirit should show.

Goodness
Faithfulness
Gentleness
Self-Control
The funny thing about spirituality in today's society is that many people, both secular and Christian, think it's a lonesome, or self-awareness journey. However, CS Lewis, wrote in his book, The Weight of Glory,
"No Christian and, indeed, no historian could accept the epigram which defines religion as 'what a man does with his solitude.'"
This semester in CSF, we will be trying to build community by going through these fruits together. My hope is that you will be accountable to others in CSF and hold them accountable to having lives which bear good fruit! Come to the Frizzell Room, in the basement of the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center Tuesday nights at 7 PM this fall to join us!
